The NC-02 2021 Congressional Art Competition is set to debut at Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival hosted by Highwoods Properties in the PNC Plaza lobby during festival weekend on October 9-10, 2021. Student artwork will be displayed and available for viewing during Art Market hours.

Presided by the Office of Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02), the collection consists of 6 out of 8 pieces recognized for excellence in NC-02’s 2021 Congressional Art Competition. The office of Congresswoman Deborah Ross is proud to announce its 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winners for the district and 5 honorable mentions.

The 1st place winner’s artwork will be hung in the Cannon Tunnel into the Capitol for the year with other winners from across the country. The 2nd place piece is on display in Rep. Ross’s DC office. Lastly, the 3rd place piece and 5 honorable mentions currently on display at Rep. Ross’s district office (300 Fayetteville St) will debut at Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival on Saturday, October 9 and be available for viewing through Friday, October 22 at PNC Plaza.

About the Congressional Art Competition
Each spring, the bipartisan non-profit Congressional Institute sponsors the nationwide art competition for high school students run through Members of Congress who volunteer to participate. Since 1982 when the contest began, more than 650,000 students have participated.
